Older pets have special needs
In keeping with our philosophy that the best medicine is preventative medicine, we are pleased to announce our Golden Age pet health screening program.

We have developed the Golden Age Program in response to the health needs of our canine and feline friends who are at least 7 years of age. It is at this time that they experience many of the same problems that we do in later years. Fortunately, many of these problems can be detected at an early stage when treatment is less costly and more effective in extending a healthy, happy life for your pets.
Our Golden Age Program is designed to be as comprehensive as your pet needs while avoiding redundant or undesired procedures. It will typically include:

Physical Exam - a complete physical exam by the veterinarian to detect the obvious physical problems that we are trained to see, feel, smell and hear.

Blood Panel - a comprehensive blood test to determine blood cell counts and body chemistries which allow us to specifically check liver, kidney, pancreatic, adrenal and thyroid function; as well as the way that these organs interact.

Comprehensive Chemistry Profile.

Urinalysis - as a further check of kidney and other metabolic functions.

Chest X-rays - to evaluate heart and lung condition and anatomy and to screen for tumors.

Abdominal X-rays - to check for normal vs. abnormal sizes, shapes and relationships of internal organs.

Computerized Electrocardiogram.
